Frequently Asked Questions
regarding worship in the weeks to come:
Can I come to church in the sanctuary?
Under “Open Texas” guidelines, members are allowed to come to church at 10:30 on Sunday when we record the service for online. If you are sick or uncomfortable coming, we ask you to conduct services at home. The guidelines also ask at risk individuals and those over 65 to stay home for church. When you do come, please follow safe distancing practices, keeping 6 feet between households and sitting every other pew. Communion will still be done in small groups, and the focus of the service will still be for online distribution as so many need to still stay home at this time.
How do I conduct the Divine Service in my home?
Each week, the Divine Service of the Word and a sermon will be distributed. You can watch Pastor Reeves lead the service on video. (see below on how to get materials)
- Set a special time & gather family into a common area. Even dress for church if you would like.
- Cast video on the biggest screen possible.
- Use the bulletin on smaller devices like phones if you don’t have one printed.
- If you don’t have the video, the head of the household should read the L and the sermon.
- Participate as if you were in the pew, singing and reading the parts marked C.
Use a hymnal to sing other songs as you would like. Hymnals are available in the church lobby.
